Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (10/16/10)

Tough night in the daily cash games at Fanduel.com on Friday where I went 0-3, dropping my preseason record to 32-18 (64.0%).    Regular season can’t get here soon enough.   It’s homecoming today for the Crimson Tide against Ole Miss.  Time to start another winning streak.  Roll Tide!

Kelenna Azubuike – He’s out until at least Christmas, so it’s probably best to just leave him on the wire unless your league uses IR spots.  He had a real shot at the starting SG spot in New York.

Danny Granger – Suffered an ankle injury Friday night.  Another season and another injury for Granger.  He’s going to get the ‘injury prone’ tag soon.  I haven’t been too high on Granger anyway since all he wants to do is shoot threes, which has really been hurting his overall FG%.

Darren Collison – 7 turnovers last night.  With the good comes the bad.  He’s going to be near the top of the league in turnovers, so figure this into your league’s scoring when drafting Collison.

Jordan Crawford – Larry Drew says he sees Crawford as more of a SG rather than a PG.  Crawford is a guy you want to watch if you are in a dynasty league.

Willie Green – He has solidly established himself as Chris Paul’s backup at PG.

Thaddeus Young – Doug Collins is now backtracking on his promise to only use Young at SF this season.  Young’s probably going to see a lot of time at PF, with Elton Brand at C and Andre Iguodala at SF.  It’s pretty much a repeat of last year’s horrible offensive setup.

Tyreke Evans – Don’t forget that he’s suspended for the first game of the season.  He’s also dealing with two sore ankles right now, but it’s minor.

Tyler Hansbrough – He’s finally healthy and starting to play well.  Josh McRoberts had the early lead for the starting PF spot, but Hansbrough is coming on quickly.  Keep an eye on this battle.

Enjoy some College Football today.  Have a good weekend.
