Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/3/10)
Nov 3, 2010 Blog
Daily Cash Games – Had my first perfect night on Fanduel.com this season, going 11-0, with 300+ points in every game. If you want to try one-day fantasy games, get over to Fanduel.com and get signed up! It’s free to get started.
Shakur – Daily Distraction Girl from HoopedUpOnline.com.
J.J. Hickson (CLE) – With Antawn Jamison out, Hickson is making the most of his opportunity. Jamison may not get his PF spot back. Keep starting Hickson.
Mo Williams (CLE) – Returned Tuesday from a groin injury and logged 24 minutes, putting up 12 points. Give him one or two more games to get his conditioning up and then plug him into your starting lineup. Ramon Sessions’ value takes a hit and you may want to bench him until the guard rotation sorts itself out. Same for Daniel Gibson.
John Wall (WAS) – One of the truest fantasy rules is that good players on bad teams can be fantasy gold. Wall fits that saying better than anyone right now. He’s already in the top 7 or 8 PG’s and can only get better.
Louis Williams (PHI) – 30 points Tuesday. It might be time to pick him up.
JaVale McGee (WAS) – He’s been a fantasy disappointment and could find his minutes slipping. If there is someone in your league who overvalues McGee, you might want to think about pulling the trigger on a deal if you need help in another area.
Jermaine O’Neal (BOS) – His boxscore line suggests he’s still hurting. Only 2 rebounds in 21 minutes, but with Shaq out, he has no choice but to be in there playing. Bench him for now if you have a better option at center.
Charlie Villanueva (DET) – Another solid game, 17 points, 7 rebounds. He should be starting at PF soon. Austin Daye was also decent Tuesday with 16pts/5reb.
Darko Milicic (MIN) – Darko is going to be riding the pine pretty soon. Zero points and 4 rebounds in 16 minutes Tuesday. Love could shift to center with Beasley moving back to his natural PF spot. Even Anthony Tolliver would be a better choice at Center.
Wesley Johnson (MIN) – Making the Love/Beasley move would also free up the SF spot for Wesley Johnson. His hamstring has healed and he’s getting a little confidence going.
Miami Heat – More fantasy disappointment with only LeBron James (32 min) getting more than 30 minutes on Tuesday. This is going to happen a lot, which makes playing them in daily cash games a very risky proposition.
James Jones (MIA) – 5 more threes. Grab him if he’s still on you wire.
Nicolas Batum (POR) – He’s cooled after a hot start. 2 points/3 rebounds Tuesday.
John Salmons (MIL) – Salmon’s is having some difficulty out of the gate this year, much of which can be attributed to him missing camp with an injury. Be patient with Salmons, he’ll get it going soon.
Kobe Bryant (LAL) – 23 points in the first half, 0 points in the second half. The Lakers are going to do everything they can to rest Kobe, which isn’t good news for fantasy owners.
Gasol Brothers – Pau won the Gasol brother battle on Tuesday: Pau (21pts/13reb/5ast) vs. Marc (11pts/8reb/5ast).
Armon Johnson (POR) – If you are in a keeper league, give Johnson a look. It’s pretty clear why Portland was willing to give up Jerryd Bayless.
Michael Beasley (MIN) – Left Tuesday’s game with a bruised hip. Check his next gametime status.
Kevin Garnett/Charlie Villanueva – They’re in a Twitter catfight. Follow it at @CV31. If that kind of thing interests you.
