Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/20/10)
Nov 20, 2010 Blog
Daily Cash Games – I went big last night because I loved my roster: 15-2 on Fanduel.com and 4-3 on FantasySportsLive.com. The weekend is off to a good start! It was a rowdy Friday night crowd in the Fanduel.com chatroom with everyone cheering on their teams. Pure fantasy crack for fantasy addicts, and some hilarious personalities in there.
Kevin Durant (OKC) – Missed Friday with a sore ankle. Who needs him anyway? OKC 89 – BOS 84. James Harden got the start for OKC, but it was Russell Westbrook stepping up his game that won this one.
D.J. White (OKC) – He’s not fantasy worthy, but the guy is developing some talent. He might be someone you want to put on your watchlist for keeper leagues.
Kevin Garnett (BOS) – Did anyone see that huge goose egg on Garnett’s head Friday after he got elbowed? It just looked painful.
Delonte West (BOS) – If you need scoring, check your wire to see if West is still out there. He’s probably going to work himself into the 20-25 minute range.
Thaddeus Young (PHI) – Just when you think he’s completely fallen off the fantasy map, he comes back with a 39 minute, 23 point game. Watch his role when Iguodala returns. Young could be a nice gamble.
O.J. Mayo (MEM) – Just continues to look horrible. 1 for 11 Friday with only 3pts/3reb/1ast.
John Wall (WAS) – Missed again Friday and there is no word yet on the status for his next game. Kirk Hinrich and Gilbert Arenas worked well together and both are good daily plays until Wall returns.
Kyle Lowery (HOU) – Solid game filling in for Aaron Brooks. Maybe Lowery is finally getting healthy and back in the flow. 11pt/12ast Friday.
Stephen Jackson (CHA) – Tried to do it all himself against the Heat, 30 points on 24 shots. At least his fantasy value is getting back to what we are used to.
Chris Bosh (MIA) – 22pts/14reb. Breakout or just two good games? Explore trade options.
Dwyane Wade (MIA) – Disappointing game Friday, but he was playing with the flu. Effort good, results bad.
Mo Williams (CLE) – Returned Friday, but did nothing. 8pt/2ast in 21 minutes. Avoid all the Cleveland guards until playing time gets defined.
David West (NOR) – Monster game for West, 34pts/11reb.
Kevin Love/Darko Milicic (MIN) – Assign each of these lines to the proper player: A) 0pts/7reb and B) 23pt/16reb/5ast/6blk. Yeah, I couldn’t believe it either. Good game Darko.
Tony Parker (SAS) – Tony not letting his off the court problems affect his work, 24pts/4reb/7ast/4st. Maybe Eva is a real pain in the ass and he’s relieved to get rid of her? One of those girls you used to date based on looks who always turned out to be insanely high maintenance.
Paul Millsap (UTA) – Only 12pt/7reb, but he was playing with a cold. Going up against Tim Duncan didn’t help either.
C.J. Miles (UTA) – Looked fairly healthy after a minor back problem. He’s back in the 6th man role for the Jazz.
Taj Gibson/Joakim Noah (CHI) – Gibson grabbed 18 rebounds and Noah 17 rebounds against the Mavs interior. That just shouldn’t happen against a pair of 7 footers in Chandler and Haywood.
Kris Humphries (NJN) – He’s a good short term pickup, 18pts/10reb.
Beno Udrih (SAC) – Moved to the bench and only got 22 minutes of action. Luther Head got the start and played 31 minutes. I think you have to hold on to Beno for a week or two and see if he earns back his starting role.
Monta Ellis (GSW) – 30 shots, 40 points.
