Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/30/10)

Daily Cash Games – I only played one game last night on Fanduel.com and put up a horrible 219.   I wasn’t going to play at all, but couldn’t resist and I pretty much got what I deserved for trying to play without doing much research.  Lesson learned.  Again.

FantasyBasketballDaily.com News and Notes:

John Wall (WAS) – Missed another game with a bruised knee.   I think the Wizards are being extra careful with him since they really aren’t going anywhere this season.

Gilbert Arenas (WAS) – Less Wall means more Arenas, 23pt/5reb/7ast.

JaVale McGee (WAS) – McGee didn’t start due to a sore back, but he did manage to come off the bench for a nice 1opt/10reb double-double.

Dwyane Wade (MIA) – He’s having some problems with his left wrist and what announcers described as a ‘nasty hangnail’, but it didn’t slow him down too much Monday, 26pt/8reb/6ast/4stl.

Carlos Arroyo (MIA) – Derrick Fisher no longer holds the title of  most useless starting PG in fantasy basketball.

David West (NOR) – 24 shot attempts last night.  That’s pretty attractive for daily cash game players.  He did leave late after getting poked in the eye, so check his next gametime status just to be safe.

Nenad Krstic/Serge Ibaka (OKC) – Krstic got the start Monday, but only 17 minutes.  Ibaka got 31 minutes.  Keep an eye on this battle.

Kevin Martin (HOU) – Tough shooting night, 4 of 15.  The rest of the team wasn’ t much better going 29 of 81.

Tyson Chandler (DAL) – I finally gave in and decided to play Tyson Chandler against a weak Houston interior in a daily game and he of course had an off night, 5pt/8reb.   I won’t be playing him again this season.

Ersan Ilyasova (MIL) – This guy can play, but he just hasn’t had the opportunity to show what he can do.  He finally got some minutes and put up 18pt/6reb on 6 of 10 shooting.

John Salmons (MIL) – 1 of 11 shooting.  Ouch.

Al Jefferson (UTA) – Milwaukee was missing Andrew Bogut and Drew Gooden and Jefferson took advantage, 22pt/11reb/4blk.

DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) – He got kicked out of practice this weekend and can’t get along with the coaching staff.  Hang on to him in keeper leagues, but  everyone else can probably drop him.  Pick him back up in a couple years when he matures.

Andrei Kirilenko (UTA) – 4 more blocks.

Erick Dampier (MIA) – Looks like he’s put on a few pounds since he last saw the court.  He only got 12 minutes and I’d guess that was pretty much due to conditioning issues.

Alonzo Gee (WAS) – He got a start last night in place of Al Thornton and looked pretty good.  He’s not really fantasy worthy right now, but he is a fellow Alabama Crimson Tide alum, so I have to give him a mention.

Jason Thompson (SAC) – He’s moved into the starting lineup and could remain there for awhile.  He’s got center eligibility on Yahoo, so grab him if you need help there.
