Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (12/7/10)
Dec 7, 2010 Blog
Daily Cash Games – Pretty good night Monday going 3-1 on Fanduel.com and 4-2-2 on FantasySportsLive.com. I’ve got a little more time to play this week, so hopefully I can keep it rolling.
Ashley Salazar – Daily Distraction Girl from HoopedUpOnline.com.
Amir Johnson (TOR) – Three solid games in a row and he could be staking his claim to the starting PF spot. Check your wire to see if he’s still out there.
Danny Granger (IND) – Granger had a great game last night going for 21pt/9reb/5ast in only 31 minutes of action. This one turned into a blowout and all the Pacer starters got some rest.
Brandon Rush (IND) – Put up 18 shots, hitting 10 of them for 26 points. 6-8 from three.
Jason Collins (ATL) – Got a start last night, but this was probably just a one time deal since the Hawks were trying to come up with something to slow down Dwight Howard.
Vince Carter (ORL) – Still running hot, 8-16 for 18pt/8reb.
Kevin Love (MIN) – Love just kills the Knicks. After putting up 31pt/31reb last time against them, he ‘only’ managed 33pt/15reb in this one.
Darko Milicic (MIN) – Left after 8 minutes of action with a quad injury and didn’t return.
Shawne Williams (NYK) – He’s working his way into some decent minutes for the Knicks and could be worth a look.
Amare Stoudemire (NYK) – Good shooting night, 15-24 for 34 points.
Kevin Durant (OKC) – The knee seems to be healed, 33 minutes of action last night, 29pt/5reb.
Carlos Boozer (CHI) – It didn’t take Boozer long to get into game shape, 29pt/12reb Monday. The Bulls could really make some noise now.
Taj Gibson (CHI) – The return of Boozer sent Gibson back to the bench, but he’s still getting about 25 minutes a game and remains a valuable player in deep leagues.
Joakim Noah (CHI) – Noah may be the player most hurt by Boozer’s return. He got shutout rebounding last game and only got 6 points on Monday.
John Salmons (MIL) – Another tough shooting night, 2-11. He’s down to 36.9% shooting for the year.
Xavier Henry (MEM) – Only got 2 shot attempts Monday. If they aren’t going to include him in the offense, then he’s probably not fantasy worthy at this point.
C. J. Miles (UTA) – Got the second most shot attempts on the team Monday with 14. He made 7 of them for 20 points.
DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) – Cousins got another start and had a solid game, 15pt/7reb.
Beno Udrih/Tyreke Evans (SAC) – Combined to shoot 6-29.
Sacramento Kings – The rotation is a complete disaster right now. Dante Green and Jason Thompson started but only got 14 and 11 minutes. Carl Landry came off the bench for 34 minutes while Omri Casspi came off the bench and also got 34 minutes of action. Just avoid the whole rotation for now.
Baron Davis (LAC) – Just when you think he is about to return to fantasy relevance, he drops a complete dud and suffers another hamstring injury. Hang on to Eric Bledsoe or pick him up if anyone dropped him.
Eric Gordon (LAC) – Nice game, 10-17 for 29 points. He has turned into a very consistent fantasy option.
Darren Collison (IND) – Suffered an injury late in Monday’s game and didn’t return. Check his next gametime status before starting him.
