Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (12/9/10)

Daily Cash Games – Wednesday was a combined 1-7 disaster on Fanduel.com and FantasySportsLive.com, brought on solely by the absence of John Wall, who I had going in just about every game.   These things are going to happen over the course of a six month season, but the really aggravating thing was that all my losses were by less than 20 points, which Wall would have easily covered.  Oh well, the great thing about daily cash games is that every day you get to start over with a new draft and roster.

Rajon Rondo (BOS) – Rondo was a gametime decision, but was able to go 3o minutes.  He didn’t make much attempt to score, but was simply out there to distribute the ball.  He’s a risk to miss a game in the next couple of weeks.

Carmelo Anthony (DEN) – Missed Wednesday with right knee inflamation.  Gary Forbes got the start.  Not sure how much time this is going to cause him to miss or if it will become a chronic condition.  Check his next gametime status before starting him.

Carlos Boozer (CHI) – Boozer struggled last night putting up only 4pt/3reb in 21 minutes of play.

Anderson Varejao (CLE) – Had one of his better games, 17pt/10ast.  It was surprising to see this against Boozer and Noah.

Andrea Bargnani (TOR) – Big game from Bargnani, 41pt/7reb/6ast, even though it was against the center-less Knicks.

New York Knicks – The Knicks have finally settled on a consistent, smaller lineup of Felton, Fields, Gallinari, Chandler and Stoudemire.

Ben Gordon (DET) – Another game with a decent 29 minutes.  Maybe the Pistons are working him in to take over after a Hamilton trade?

Marco Belinelli (NOR) – Good shooting game, 8-12 for 22 points.

Roy Hibbert (IND) – Hibbert just can’t seem to take that final leap to being a consistent daily player.  13pt/5reb.

John Salmons (MIL) – 16 points on 17 shots.  Highly inefficient.

Ersan Ilyasova (MIL) – Good game, 21pt/10reb on 7-14 shooting.

Darko Milicic (MIN) – Missed Wednesday with a leg injury.  Nikola Pekovic got 25 minutes going for 15pt/3reb.

Kevin Love (MIN) – Just keeps rolling, 22pt/21reb.  He’s really picked up the scoring this season.

Stephen Curry (GSW) – Went down in the second quarter with a sprained right ankle.  Reggie Williams came in for 31 points.

Zach Randolph (MEM) – Big game, 34pt/17reb.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas (MIA) – The Heat finally got some scoring from the center position with Big Z putting up 16pt/10reb.

Al Jefferson (UTA) – Opposing centers are having some success against the Heat.  Jefferson put up 25pt/11reb Wednesday against Miami.

Andray Blatche (WAS) – Blatche and Wall both missed Wednesday.  The Wizards started Kevin Seraphin and Trevor Booker.  They didn’t win.

Tyreke Evans (SAC) – He’s really struggling with plantar fasciitis right now, 8pt/5reb/4ast.   He’s unusable in daily cash games.

Luther Head (SAC) – The Luther Head experiment is over and now it’s Eugene Jeter’s turn.  Better known as ‘Pooh’.

Baron Davis (LAC) – The sore hamstring limited him to 14 minutes, 3pt/3ast.

Cleveland Cavaliers – They had a complete roster shakeup last night with J.J. Hickson and Joey Graham getting benched.  Daniel Gibson took over at SG, Anthony Parker moved to SF and Antawn Jamison took over at PF.

Samuel Dalembert (SAC) – Missed Wednesday which provided Jason Thompson some extra run, 22pt/14reb.

Andrei Kirilenko (UTA) – Suffered a right quad injury Wednesday.

Serge Ibaka (OKC) – 8 blocks.
