Also, I’ll be out for 10 days starting this Thursday.  I’m abandoning the snow and heading on a Cruise to sunnier shores.  It’s a much needed break.

Fantasy News and Notes for Friday’s Fantasy NBA Action:

Brook Lopez (NJN) – The process is now complete, Lopez has fully morphed into Andrea Bargnani.  28 points on 12 of 17 shooting and just a single rebound.  How does someone of Lopez’ size grab only a single rebound?

Paul George (IND) – Solid line in 24 minutes, 15pts/3reb/3ast while shooting 6 of 7.  He’s a great pickup in keeper leagues.  He would have got more run last night, but Mike Dunleavy was on fire putting up 30 points of his own.

Sam Young (MEM) – Young seems to be the beneficiary of O.J. Mayo’s 1o game suspension and is worth a short term pickup if you need a SG.  He got 29 minutes, 12 points on 5 of 9 shooting.

Andre Iguodala (PHI) – Looked like the Iguodala of old last night putting up stats in every category, 12pts/8reb/9ast/2stl/1blk.

Corey Maggette (MIL) – Great start for Maggette, 29pts/11reb/5ast.

Andrew Bogut (MIL) – Finally had a good scoring game going 12 of 14 for 24 points.  He’s been well below his career FG% all season, most likely due to the elbow injury from last year.  Hopefully he’ll get hot in the second half.

Amir Johnson (TOR) – Has decided to get it going now that Ed Davis is threatening to steal his job, 24pts/12ast.

Wilson Chandler (NYK) – Surprise scratch with a calf injury.  Shawne Williams got the start, 12pts/11reb.

Joe Johnson (ATL) – He’s actually had a pretty good January and could be headed for a great second half, 34pts/8reb/7ast.  Might be a great trade target.

Nene (DEN) – Tried to go last night, but could only make it 9 minutes.  Get him benched for now.

J.J. Hickson (CLE) – The guy could be a fantasy stud if the Cavs will just stick with him, 24pts/14reb.  There’s going to be some ups and downs with Hickson, but he needs experience to get better.

Tracy McGrady (DET) – You have to wonder what could have been for McGrady had his body not let him down over the last couple of years.  Almost another triple-double last night, 14pts/8reb/10ast and 4 blocks.

Dwyane Wade (MIA) – Wade was a surprise scratch last night with a wrist injury.  He’s getting an MRI today, so stay tuned. The NBA really needs to do something about their injury disclosure policies.  There really should have been some earlier news on an injury that was serious enough to keep Wade out.  It cost me some dollars in my daily fantasy cash games and tournaments.

LeBron James (MIA) – Took over without Wade and Bosh around, 39pts/8reb/9ast.  Actually, it looked a lot like a low scoring Cavs game of the past few years.

Dwight Howard (ORL) – Huge line, 40pts/15reb/4st/3blk, but the Magic still lost.

Jameer Nelson (ORL) – He’s dealing with a sore knee.  Gilbert Arenas would get a boost in value if Nelson misses time.

Derrick Rose (CHI) – It didn’t look like the stomach ulcers slowed him down at all, 22pts/6reb/12ast.  Keep him active.

Trevor Booker (WAS) – JaVale McGee was out with the flu and Booker got the start, 21pts/12reb.  The guy obviously has some talent, but he’s stuck behind Blatche and McGee and isn’t worth a pickup right now.

Russell Westbrook (OKC) – Monster triple-double from Westbrook against the Wizards, 35pts/13reb/13ast.

Andrei Kirilenko (UTA) – Filled the statsheet, 27pts/6reb/7ast/5stl.

Deron Williams – Missed with a wrist injury, no word on how long he’s going to be out.  Earl Watson got the start and had a nice game, 10pts/13ast.

Monta Ellis (GSW) – Just couldn’t get it going last night, 6 of 24 shooting.

DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) – The Kings beat the Lakers with a huge effort from Cousins, 27pts/10reb/3stl/2blk.  The Kings just need to keep rolling Cousins out there to gain experience.

Marcin Gortat (PHO) – Congrats if you grabbed Gortat, 19pts/17reb.  He’ll be starting soon if he keeps this up.

Brandon Jennings (MIL) – Could return today, but I’d keep him benched  until he gets back into gameshape.

Al Harrington (DEN) – Suffered a foot injury and left in a walking boot and crutches.
