Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (1/30/11)
Jan 30, 2011 Blog
Carlos Boozer (CHI) – Boozer finally seems to be healthy and is a must start in daily leagues, 24pts/10reb.
Roy Hibbert (IND) – Getting close to rock bottom value. If you want to gamble on Hibbert for next season in keeper leagues, now is the time to pull the trigger on a trade, 2pts/5reb.
Andrea Bargnani (TOR) – Couldn’t find the basket last night, 5 of 24 shooting for 15 points.
DeMar DeRozan (TOR) – Had the same problem as Bargnani, 2 of 11 for 6 points.
Mike Beasley (MIN) – 2 of 12 for just 7 points. The Minnesota/Toronto game featured some horrible shooting.
Jonny Flynn (MIN) – It’s time to grab Flynn if he’s still floating on your wire, 10pts/6reb/8ast. He should be rounding into game shape after missing most of the season recovering from his hip injury and could be poised for a big second half.
Trevor Booker (WAS) – Another start for JaVale McGee, 12pts/12reb. Not a pickup yet, but keep him on your waiver wire watchlist.
Zach Randolph (MEM) – Big line, 24pts/20reb.
Rudy Gay (MEM) – Saturday was filled with terrible shooting performances and Gay added his name to that list, 2 of 11 for 4 points.
Joe Johnson (ATL) – Continues to be a strong performer and looks to be ready for a big second half playoff push, 27pts/8reb/6ast.
Kris Humphries (NJN) – Humphries is starting to lose minutes to Derrick Favors. It’s a shame, because Humphries is the better player right now, but Favors needs the experience if the Nets are going to rely on him next season.
Andrew Bogut (MIL) – Seems to be getting better as the season progresses, 17pts/18reb and a big 7 blocks.
Carlos Delfino (MIL) – 4 of 9 from three. Grab him if you need help in the 3PM category.
Brandon Jennings (MIL) – Got back on the court for 11 minutes. Keep him benched for now, but at least it’s a start.
DeJuan Blair (SAS) – More inconsistency, but at least it was the good side last night, 14pts/12reb/3blk.
Marcus Thornton (NOR) – Speaking of inconsistent, Thornton went 7 of 10 for 16 points Saturday. He’s a really frustrating player to own right now. He doesn’t produce that much, but I just can’t give up and drop his potential.
Gerald Wallace (CHA) – Wallace is playing terrible right now, 7pts/4reb. Maybe it’s the ankle still bothering him, but you might want to field some trade offers and see what you can get for him. Don’t give him away, just check his value in your league with some offers.
Randy Foye (LAC) – He’s doing a great job filling in for Eric Gordon, 21 points on 6 of 15 shooting with 4 steals.
