Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/30/10)

Daily Cash Games – I only played one game last night on Fanduel.com and put up a horrible 219. I wasn’t going to play at all, but couldn’t resist and I pretty much got what I deserved for trying to play without doing much research. Lesson learned. Again.
FantasyBasketballDaily.com News and Notes:
John Wall (WAS) – Missed another game with a bruised knee. I think the Wizards are being extra careful with him since they really aren’t going anywhere this season.
Gilbert Arenas (WAS) – Less Wall means more Arenas, 23pt/5reb/7ast.

Daily Cash Games – I only played two basketball games, splitting 1-1 on Fanduel.com. I did have some fun in a fantasy football freeroll, but didn’t win that one either. Not much of a weekend, but I’m ready for the new week.
There are a lot of cases of the flu floating around the NBA, so be careful with your daily cash games. The flu usually doesn’t get reported and most of the DNP’s end up being gametime surprises with no warning. Conservative bankroll management can keep you out of trouble.
FantasyBasketballDaily.com News and Notes:
Marvin Williams (ATL) – Had his best game of the season, 17pt/12ast, but he’s still a very inconsistent option.

Daily Cash Games – I didn’t have much time for basketball last night and only had 2 games on Fanduel.com. Both were part of larger 7 game challenges that I was previously committed to. I split 1-1. The win finished up a $50, 7 game challenge against TaxiMike, with me taking the series 4-1. The loss cut my lead in the $200, 7 game challenge with HeadChopper to 3-2. Hopefully I can finish that series off tonight with a win.
Don’t forget that Fanduel.com also offers one day fantasy football cash games, so if you are a fantasy football player, get signed up this morning for free and you can be playing today’s games.
Some Quick Fantasy News before Sunday NFL:
Joe Johnson (ATL) – Johnson has been in a slump and it doesn’t look like things are getting much better, 3 of 15 shooting Saturday.

Daily Cash Games – I went 5-1 on Fanduel.com Friday, but it didn’t make me feel much better after my Crimson Tide lost a 24-0 lead and the game to Auburn. What a disappointing season. There are 8 games on the NBA schedule for Saturday.
Nicole Bahls – Daily Distraction Girl from HoopedUpOnline.com.
FantasyBasketballDaily.com News and Notes:
Antawn Jamison (CLE) – Supposedly, there is a 25 minute cap on his minutes, but he went 30 last night so I don’t think he’s really limited.

It’s the Iron Bowl today, Alabama-Auburn at 2:30, so I’m pretty much set with an afternoon of football. Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving and enjoy the rest of your long weekend. Only two games on the NBA schedule Thursday, so not much news to report today.
I’m putting together a new afternoon article format for the daily cash game players and hope to try and roll that out on Monday, so be on the lookout for it. The daily article should hit the web each day at 5:30 with starting lineups, lines, game preview links and sit/start picks. I’m going to do it for a week or two and if the response is good, then I’ll probably make it my main feature here at FantasyBasketballDaily.com.
See you guys tomorrow.
