Fantasy Basketball Daily Pre-Game Report for Tuesday, January 31
Jan 31, 2012 Blog
Before we get to tonight’s report, a few guys have emailed me asking why I was picking guys like Chris Duhon and Derrick Favors as my Fantasy Cash Game picks. My picks aren’t guys who I think will put up the best line in a game, they are picks that represent the best value under the salary cap rules that daily cash games use. If you can find an underpriced player to put on your team at a position, that will provide you with extra salary cap space to use at another position to pay a stud player. It’s all about creating the best value team you can while staying under the $65,000 salary cap limit. Hope that helps explain the picks.
Tuesday’s Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball, NCAA Basketball and NHL Hockey Tournament Schedule:
Fanduel $750 NCAA College Fantasy Basketball Tournament – 7:00 PM EST, $10 Entry, Top 9 Teams Paid
Fanduel $1500 NHL Fantasy Hockey Tournament – 7:00 PM EST, $10 Entry, Top 22 Teams Paid
Tuesday’s NBA Schedule, Probable Starting Lineups, Injuries and Daily Fantasy Cash Game Picks:
Atlanta (-5) @ Toronto 177.5 Total
ATL: J. Teague, J. Johnson, M. Williams, J. Smith, Z. Pachulia
TOR: J. Calderon, J. Bayless, D. DeRozan, J. Johnson, A. Johnson
- Toronto made big changes to their starting lineup Sunday, so check these starters as gametime approaches.
- Jerryd Bayless should get another start at SG and makes a great daily play with a low salary.
- Jeff Teague had been dealing with an ankle injury, but he looked good Sunday putting up 24 points. Be safe and check his gametime status just to make sure he’s a full go tonight.
- Leandro Barbosa is a gametime decision.
- Daily Fantasy Cash Game Sleeper Pick: Jerryd Bayless $5100

Fantasy Basketball Daily Pre-Game Report for Monday, January 30
Jan 30, 2012 Blog
Monday’s Fantasy Basketball Daily Tournament Schedule:
All Tournaments Tipoff at 7:00 PM EST.
Monday’s NBA Schedule, Probable Starting Lineups, Injuries and Daily Cash Game Picks
Orlando @ Philadelphia (-7) 179 Total
ORL: C. Duhon, J. Richardson, H. Turkoglu, R. Anderson, D. Howard
PHI: J. Holiday, J. Meeks, A. Iguodala, E. Brand, T. Battie
- Jameer Nelson is doubtful with a concussion. Chris Duhon should get another start and makes an attractive minimum salary start.
- Hedo Turkoglu should handle the ball a little more with Nelson out, which means he could see a tick up in fantasy value.
- Spencer Hawes is out Monday. Tony Battie will probably get the start.
- Elton Brand should have a decent game with Nikola Vucevic and Spencer Hawes both out.
- Thaddeus Young is trying to play through a back injury, but it’s clearly limiting his fantasy production. Avoid him for now.
- Nikola Vucevic is technically a gametime decision, but he’s probably out.
- Daily Fantasy Cash Game Pick: Chris Duhon $4000

Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Pickups, Week 6
Jan 29, 2012 Blog
A few waiver wire tips for a slow Sunday:
Drew Gooden (MIL) – Andrew Bogut is likely done for the season with a fractured ankle. Gooden is a must add if you need help at center. He’s already shown in his first two starts what he’s capable of.
Avery Bradley (BOS) – I’ve been seeing some rumors that Rajon Rondo may be out for a month. I’ve also see some articles saying he’s going to play today, so who knows. If he is out for a month, then Bradley, and maybe E’Twaun Moore, become great spot starts.
Kirk Hinrich (ATL) – Jeff Teague is running out of steam and he’s also been a little banged up lately. Hinrich should build his minutes back up to the 25-30 minute range soon and makes a nice grab.
Chris Kaman (NOR) – I’ve seen Kaman dropped to a lot of wires, but he’s said to be on the trading block and he could see a huge spike in value with a trade to the right situation. He’s worth a stash on the bench if you have room.
Glen Davis (ORL) – Ryan Anderson is having some injury issues and Davis could pick up a few starts this week. He probably won’t put up any huge lines, but if you need some rebounds, he’s a solid pickup.
Rodrigue Beaubois (DAL) – Jason Kidd is hurting again and the Mavs need someone to step up at PG. Delonte West got the minutes last time Kidd was out, but he’s also dealing with some injury problems. Beaubois should get a chance to play this week and has decent upside.

Fantasy Basketball Daily Pre-Game Report for Friday, January 27
Jan 27, 2012 Blog
Don’t forget, we’ve got two Fantasy Basketball Freerolls Friday night, both starting at 7:00 PM EST. Fanduel is having a $200 Free Entry Tournament and you can register by CLICKING HERE. Daily Joust is having a $100 Free Entry Tournament and you can register by CLICKING HERE.
Charlotte @ Philadelphia (-15.5) 183 Total
CHA: K. Walker, M. Carroll, D. Brown, T. Thomas, D. Diop
PHI: J. Holiday, (E. Turner/J. Meeks), A. Iguodala, E. Brand, T. Battie
- Gerald Henderson was a last minute scratch Wednesday with an injured tailbone and is listed as out for Friday. Matt Carroll started for him and should play good minutes with Henderson out.
- DJ Augustin is out for a couple more games. Derrick Brown will continue to start at SF, with Kemba Walker filling in for Augustin at PG.
- BJ Mullens fantasy run may be ending. It looks like opposing teams have figured out his game, much like hitters getting their second look at a new pitcher. He’s also dealing with a hand injury.
- Thaddeus Young suffered a lower back contusion Wednesday, so check his gametime status tonight.
- BJ Mullens has lost his starting job. DeSagana Diop will now start at center. There’s a reason Oklahoma City let him go. Avoid him for now.
- DJ White is out Friday.
- Daily Fantasy Game Pick: Kemba Walker $5600
