Fantasy Basketball Daily League (10/16/09)

The FBD League is set up on Yahoo. 14 teams, Head to Head and I expanded the playoffs to 8 spots just to keep everyone active all season and try to emulate the actual NBA playoffs. It should give owners plenty of time to fine tune their teams for the playoffs. I have set the draft for this Monday night, October 19 at 8:30 pm EST. If the league doesn’t fill by then, I might move it later in the week.
Positions will be PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, C, UTIL, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN.
Stat categories (11 categories) are a little different than standard and include FG%, FTM, FT%, 3PM, PTS, OREB, REB, AST, STL, BLK and TOV. I added the FTM to reward the skill of drawing fouls and getting to the line. Offensive rebounds were added to reflect that skill as well. Adding those categories to the other standard categories covers the four factors pretty well.
I have already had a few emails and I’m going to award the remaining spots in the league on a first email basis. Email me for the Yahoo League ID and Password. Use the email icon on the top of the homepage. I think we are going to stick to a one year league this season and if we get a large number of requests, I’ll consider setting up a second league. If we get a good group of owners, I’ll try to get a keeper league started next season from this year’s group.
