Fantasy Basketball Player News and Notes:

  • Richard Hamilton missed Monday with an upset stomach.  He should be ready for his next start.  Tayshaun Prince, Ben Gordon and Will Bynum also missed.  Jonas Jerebko and Austin Daye got starts.
  • Brandon Roy missed Monday with a sore right hamstring.  Jerryd Bayless got the start.  Roy says he’ll play Wednesday, but check it gametime just to make sure.
  • Mike Miller returned to action and played 24 minutes.
  • Rasheed Wallace was able to return Monday and was able to go 35 minutes.   Feel free to drop Brian Scalabrine now.
  • Kevin Love missed Monday due to strep throat that he more than likely got from Ryan Hollins.  He might miss a few games so check his next gametime status.  Hollins returned from strep throat last night after missing six games.
  • Jerry Stackhouse has joined the Bucks and might play Wednesday.
  • Nick Collison missed Monday with a concussion.
  • Gerald Wallace twisted an ankle against the Kings but played through it.  Check his status for the next game.
  • Jason Thompson’s slump continues.  He only got 16 minutes against Charlotte.
  • Richard Jefferson missed Monday with lower back pain.  George Hill got the start.
  • Anthony Morrow will miss 2-4 weeks with a sprained right MCL.
  • Eddie Curry is out 6 weeks with another knee injury.
  • Larry Hughes is having some problems in New York.  He disappeared from practice Monday, which isn’t going to get him out of the doghouse with D’Antoni.  Avoid him in daily cash games.
  • Kirk Hinrich missed Monday with the flu.  John Salmons got the start, but be careful with Salmons, as he also seems to be suffering from the flu.
  • Chris Kaman returned after missing four games with back problems.  He was able to play 30 minutes.  Get him back active.
  • Vince Carter played Monday, but didn’t look good.   Avoid him in daily cash games until he’s healthy.
  • Phoenix has altered the starting lineup, inserting Leandro Barbosa and Robin Lopez as starters while moving Jason Richardson and Channing Frye to the bench.
  • Samuel Dalembert left for Haiti on Monday but should be back for Wednesday’s game.  Probably best to leave him benched since he will undoubtably be tired from that kind of trip.
  • Kevin Garnett has returned to practice and could play Friday.
