Travis Outlaw – It looks like the Carmelo Anthony trade is dead, so Outlaw can finally settle down and try to win the starting small forward spot in New Jersey. I’ve got him just outside my top 20 SF’s right now, but he could crack the rankings with a good showing in camp.
Golden State – The starting rotation in GSW is set: Stephen Curry, Monta Ellis, Dorell Wright, David Lee and Andris Biedrins. Wright is a real sleeper. He has been primarily a threes and defense player, but he could show some additional offensive production for the Warriors.
Blake Griffin – I can’t wait to see for myself how he looks on the court. I’m reading that he is 100% healthy, but it would definitely make me feel better to actually see it. Hope one of his preseason games gets streamed.
Antawn Jamison – His minutes on the court are going to be determined by his ability to play defense, especially if he’s asked to move to SF and cover guys like LeBron and Durant. He’s slowed down at 34 years old, but the Cavs have to work J.J. Hickson in at PF and Jamison will accomodate that move.
Terrence Williams – Seems to have the inside track over Anthony Morrow for the starting SG spot in New Jersey. It doesn’t really matter who starts here, even if Morrow comes off the bench he’ll still get his points and threes.
Mike Dunleavy – Indiana is thinking about giving Dunleavy a chance at the starting SG spot. Keep an eye on him in camp. However, Brandon Rush will be back after serving his five game suspension and could steal minutes even if Dunleavy starts.
Delonte West – Remember that he’s suspended for the first 10 games of the season. He might be worth a late round flier if you have a bench spot, otherwise you can probably just grab him off the wire.
Ronnie Brewer – There appears to be a battle for the starting SG spot in Chicago, but I think Brewer easily wins the job based on his defensive ability. He’s a great source of steals. Neither Kyle Korver nor Keith Bogans can defend the better SG’s in the league.
Jason Williams – He’ll be out 4-6 weeks after arthroscopic surgery. He’s stuck behind Jameer Nelson and Chris Duhon anyway.
Kenyon Martin – It looks like Kenyon Martin has turned into a very unhappy Nugget. He’s in the last year of his contract and Denver made no attempt to offer an extension, but rather chose to bring in Al Harrington. Martin will be in no rush whatsoever to return from that knee injury, if he returns at all. Move Al Harrington up your draft sheets.
Marcus Camby – He’s dealing with a minor groin injury. Between the 36 year old Camby and the fragile Oden, the Blazers are going to have a big problem this year at center.
Tiago Splitter – Suffered a strained right plantaris muscle, which is in the calf. He’s expected to miss at least 7-10 days of camp. He really needed camp time to form a chemistry with this team and it leaves the door open for DeJuan Blair to establish himself.
