Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (10/25/10)

Jerryd Bayless – Portland shipped him off to New Orleans in exchange for a conditional first round pick. Bayless will backup Chris Paul. Bad news if you were gambling on Willie Green, which you shouldn’t have been.
J. J. Hickson – It’s official, Hickson will start while Antawn Jamison comes off the bench. It probably doesn’t mean much as the two will split time.
Nick Collison – He’s out for three weeks with a leg injury. Nenad Krstic and Serge Ibaka should be able to cover for him.
Andre Iguodala – Wrist injury. Not sure of the severity, but you definitely want to check it at gametime before starting him.
Andrew Bynum – Returning by Thanksgiving. Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol will play big minutes until Bynum returns.
Keith Bogans – It looks like Bogans will start the first few games at SG for Chicago while Ronnie Brewer gets up to speed. Brewer will likely take over the spot in the next two weeks and could be good bench depth for your fantasy squad.
Jerry Stackhouse – Signed with Miami to fill in for Mike Miller. Waiver wire material, but keep an eye on him.
Samuel Dalembert – He’s expected back by the second game of the season. I guess DeMarcus Cousins threatening to take his job made that ‘injury’ heal up a little quicker.
Allen Iverson – He’s playing in Turkey for the next two years. Wonder how long that’s going to last.
Cole Aldrich – I’m not looking for much out of Aldrich this season. He’s fouling at an extremely high rate, which usually signals that he’s out of position and getting burned on defense. Serge Ibaka, Nenad Krstic and Nick Collison are all ahead of him on the depth chart.
Landry Fields – Keep an eye on Fields if you are in a keeper league. He’s on the verge of entering the Knicks rotation and could be a real sleeper.
Martell Webster – The Timberwolves could lose Webster to back surgery. He’s going for a second opinion and will know more soon. It’s probably safe to cut him to the wire if you took a flier on him.
