Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/1/10)

David Lee (GSW) – He didn’t really feel like playing Sunday, 0 points and 3 rebounds in 19 minutes.

Reggie Williams (GSW) – Got the start for Stephen Curry and did absolutely nothing with it, 5pt/3reb/4ast.  He’s better than that, maybe it was simply the tough Laker defense.

Dorell Wright (GSW) – Good game Sunday (18pt/5reb), check your wire just to make sure nobody forgot about Wright.

Miami Heat – All the starters had average lines because this game turned into a rout.   None of the starters played more than 30 minutes.  This could happen often against very weak opponents.

James Jones (MIA) – A couple more threes Sunday, pick him up if you need help in that category.

Travis Outlaw (NJN) – He’s been a pretty big fantasy disappointment so far, although did anyone really expect him to show anything more than what he did for either the Trail Blazers or Clippers?  He’s just not a starting quality NBA SF.

Derrick Favors (NJN) – 13 points/13 rebounds Sunday.  He should probably be starting for the Nets and I could definitely see him taking over the spot after the all-star break.  He might be a good one to pickup and stash on the bench if you have a spot.

Tyson Chandler/Brendan Haywood – Chandler got the start, but Haywood got more minutes, 28 to 19.  Neither is really fantasy attractive right now.

Baron Davis (LAC) – It looks like another frustrating year for Baron Davis owners.  It might be a good idea to let him have a little hot streak and then see what you can get for him.

Paul Millsap (UTA) – 30 points, 16 rebounds Sunday.  This is what keeps owners holding on to Millsap.  I’d say it was a breakout game for him, but he could just as easily lay an egg in his next one.  If you ever wanted to trade Millsap, now is probably the time.

C.J. Miles (UTA) – He’s working his way into a bigger role for the Jazz and I’ve even seen some rumors of him taking over the starting SF spot.  Put him on your waiver wire watchlist.

Serge Ibaka (OKC) – Three more blocks last night.

New Jersey – Only 2 fast break points against the Heat.

Mo Williams (CLE) – Expected back Tuesday.  Keep him on the bench for a couple games until he finds his rhythm.
