Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/13/10)

Daily Cash Games –  I had a tough night on Friday going 1-4 on Fanduel.com.      There are 9 games on the NBA schedule Saturday with some really good daily plays out there.   Get signed up for free Fanduel.com and have your daily cash game rosters set by 7:00 pm EST tonight.

Coco AustinDaily Distraction Girl from HoopedUpOnline.com.  If you are wondering where you’ve seen her before, she’s Ice T’s wife.

Marvin Williams (ATL) – Williams made it back on the court Friday after missing a few games with an injury.  He really hurt my daily game results since his presence allowed Josh Smith to move back to PF and pretty much shut Paul Millsap down.

C. J. Miles (UTA) – He’s now the 6th man for the Jazz.

Brad Miller (HOU) – Miller got the start at center in place of Yao Ming and had a great line, 23pt/8reb/5ast.  He’s always been a good source of assists from the center position and is worth a pickup.

Ishmael Smith (HOU) – The Ish Smith ride came to a quick end with only 13 minutes of action against Indiana.  Kyle Lowery got 35 minutes.  It was fun while it lasted.

Danny Granger (IND) – Granger is having a disappointing year and I’m sure owners are getting frustrated with him.  If you need threes and can deal for him cheaply, now is your opportunity.

James Posey (IND) – He came out of nowhere for 19 points Friday.  He’s probably not worth a pickup right now, but keep an eye on him.

Sonny Weems (TOR) – Got  the start last night for Linas Kleiza and had a very efficient game, 32 minutes, 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting.  Worth a flier in deep leagues.

DeMar DeRozan (TOR) – DeRozan finally had a good game that owners have been desperate for.  26pts/7reb in a big 40 minutes of action.  Stick with him.

Jameer Nelson (ORL) – Looked healthy Friday going 37 minutes, 23pt/8ast.  Get him back in your starting lineup.

Ryan Anderson (ORL) – Went from starting to being completely out of the rotation.  Drop him.

Stephen Jackson (CHA) – Another disappointing game Friday.  Keep an eye on the wire to see if any owners get impatient and give up on Jackson.

Andray Blatche (WAS) – Solid game Friday, 22pt/9reb.  He should settle into a Zach Randolph-like 20-10 groove.

Kevin Love (MIN) – The most aggravating fantasy player ever.  31 points, 31 rebounds Friday, congrats if you had him going in daily cash games.  Why does Rambis limit this monster to 27 minutes a game?

Michael Beasley (MIN) – Followed up his 46 point game with 35 more Friday.

New York Knicks – It appears that they have finally settled on a starting roster of Felton, Fields, Gallinari, Chandler and Amare.  Toney Douglas is the first guy off the bench.

Spencer Hawes (PHI) – I’ve seen Hawes floating around on several waiver wires, and he shouldn’t be.  The guy is still only 22 years old and he’s got a big upside.

J.J. Barea (DAL) – 19 points in 22 minutes Friday.  He’s in a crowed guard rotation, especially when Rodrigue Beaubois comes back.

Carl Landry (SAC) – He finally had a good game going for 20 points, 11 rebounds.  Be patient with him.

Steve Nash (PHO) – He’s carrying the entire Suns team right now.  28 points, 7 rebounds, 14 assists.  It’s really time for the Suns to think about trading him while his value is still high.   I think Phoenix just has too many holes in their roster to have much shot in the playoffs.  Sometimes rebuilding is just the right choice and Nash is too old to be the future.

Rudy Fernandez (POR) – Looks like the first choice to absorb minutes from Brandon Roy.  Fernandez got 23 Friday, while Wes Matthews only got 13.

Russell Westbrook (OKC) – He’s a top 5 PG right now.  36 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists.

Charlie Villanueva (DET) – 35 minutes, 30 points.  He doesn’t do much other than score.

Eric Gordon (LAC) – He was back in the lineup and looking good.  42 minutes, 28 points, 5 assists.  Get him back in your lineup.

David Lee (GSW) – He’s out for two weeks due to an infection in the wound created by Wilson Chandler’s tooth.  Brandan Wright could get some serious run.

Baron Davis (LAC) – He could be out until after Thanksgiving.  Grab Eric Bledsoe if he’s still out there.
