Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/19/10)

Daily Cash Games – I had a good night on Fanduel.com going 4-0-1 (all H2H) and 1-0 (10 team tourney) on FantasySportsLive.com.  Big schedule in the NBA tonight and I’m planning on entering a large number of H2H contests on Fanduel.com.  I also wrapped up a $100 7 game challenge against HeadChopper, sweeping the best of seven series, 4-0.  We are running a $100 seven game series rematch starting Monday.

From the iPod:   For my favorite reader:  Linkin Park, New Divide.

Blake Griffin (LAC) – He’s good, but he’s also very inconsistent, which makes him very difficult to use in daily cash games.  12pts/8reb.

Eric Bledsoe (LAC) – I finally got to sit down and watch Bledsoe play an entire game and the guy is good.   He’s strong and has awesome athletic ability, with a pretty good understanding of the game.  He’s probably not on the wire anymore, but grab him if he is, especially in keeper leagues.  It’s probably even worth trying to swing a deal for him in keeper leagues if you are out of the race and rebuilding for next season.

Darren Collison (IND) – Missed again Thursday.  T.J. Ford got the start but didn’t do much, 11pt/3reb/5ast.

Brandon Rush (IND) – Got the start for Mike Dunleavy.  14pt/5reb.  The SG spot could turn into a timeshare, but Dunleavy is the better choice.

Hedo Turkoglu (PHO) – Another dud, 2pt/4reb/3ast.  0-8 shooting.

Steve Nash (PHO) – Nash missed Thursday with what the announcers called ‘hip instability’.  Goran Dragic got the start but didn’t look very good, 10pt/4ast.  The Suns are a lottery team without Nash.

Garret Siler (PHO) – That guy is huge.  I’d love to see him and Shaq matched up on each other.  They are easily 650 pounds combined.

Orlando Magic – This one was a blowout half way through the first quarter and most of the starters got some rest.  Rashard Lewis was the only guy to get more than 30 min.

Chauncey Billups (DEN) – Age may have finally caught up with Billups.  His fantasy numbers are slipping and it might be time to deal him if you can find an owner who overvalues the name.

Wesley Matthews (POR) – Matthews is now the man in Portland, so grab him.  40 minutes Thursday, 20pts/10reb.   Looks like he’s going to earn that big contract now.

Jeff Foster (IND) – Finally got into a game this season.  If he can work up to 20-25 minutes a game, he could be a nice source of rebounds.

Donte Greene (SAC) – He’s going to get another chance to start for the Kings.  Keep an eye on him.

Troy Murphy (NJN) – There are rumors of him being on the trade block.  Grab Derrick Favors if he’s still on your wire.  It could be a gamble that pays off nicely.  What do the Nets have to lose by getting the rookie some experience?  Maybe another lottery pick?
