Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/2/10)

Songs from the iPod: Deftones, Beauty School.
Quote of the Day: Dime Magazine, “Valid question posed on Twitter: How many of the Clipper girls originally tried out to be Laker girls and got cut? You could ask the same for some of the players, too …” Cold.
Shaq O’Neal (BOS) – Ok, I know it was Halloween, but this is just seriously disturbing: Shaq’s Beyonce Impersonation. And if that weren’t enough, here’s Big Baby Davis singing Ke$ha’s ‘Tik Tok’.
Al Horford (ATL) – He got his 5 year, $60 million contract extension, so he should be a happy camper. Fantasy disaster averted.
Luol Deng (CHI) – 40 points Monday. I’ve been waiting on that. Thank you Luol.
Baron Davis (LAC) – Missed Monday with a sore knee. I’ve seen some rumors that maybe there is more to it than just the knee. He was already in the doghouse for showing up to camp out of shape. Seems he might be having some problems getting with the Blake Griffin system in Clipperland. He might be a fantasy headache all season or at least until he pouts his way out of LA. Melo and Davis to the Knicks?
LaMarcus Aldridge (POR) – 33 points, 9 rebounds. The Bulls really need Carlos Boozer to get healthy, because Taj Gibson just isn’t going to cut it on defense.
Reggie Evans (TOR) – 19 rebounds Monday. I hope you grabbed him off your wire.
DeMar DeRozan (TOR) – 24 points Monday. He should take over the SG spot and get 30+ minutes. Leandro Barbosa is having some wrist problems and it doesn’t look like he’s a threat to DeRozan.
Linas Kleiza (TOR) – Looks like he’s going to settle into a 16-18 point a night groove this season. Not bad for a late round flier.
Jarrett Jack/Jose Calderon (TOR) – Timeshare, just avoid this situation completely.
DeMarcus Cousins/Sam Dalembert (SAC) – I’m betting Dalembert gets traded mid-season and Cousins takes over the starting center spot. Cousins as a rookie is almost as good as the vet Dalembert is now, and definitely a lot more versatile.
Francisco Garcia (SAC) – The hot pickup fizzled quickly. It’s probably safe to cut him and move on.
Eric Gordon (LAC) – 11 assists Monday. Baron Davis was out and Eric Bledsoe was lost. This could be a great unexpected bonus for Gordon owners if Baron is going to be out for any extended time.
Eric Bledsoe (LAC) – He got 40 minutes Monday and put up 9pts/5reb/3ast/4stl/2blk/3tov. He’s quick and could improve rapidly with more playing time. If Davis is going to be out for any length of time, you might want to grab Bledsoe, especially in keeper leagues. The only worry is that the Clippers turn to Randy Foye when he returns in a week or two from injury.
Donte Greene (SAC) – Went from starter to two consecutive DNPs within a week. You can probably cut him.
Mike Conley (MEM) – Signed a 5 year, $45 million contract extension. I like Conley, but $45 million?
