Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/21/10)
Nov 21, 2010 Blog
Daily Cash Games – I put up my highest score of the season on Fanduel.com, a 356, but only had one game going Saturday. At least it put me up 2-1 in my $50 seven game match with Tuffled1. Only three games on the schedule for Sunday, but I’m probably going to enter a few H2H contests on Fanduel.com just to try and ride my hot streak.
FantasyBasketballDaily.com News and Notes:
Jose Calderon (TOR) – Calderon is now the clear starter for Toronto after the trade of Jarrett Jack to the Hornets. Keep an eye on Jerryd Bayless too as the Raptors could trade off Calderon
Roy Hibbert (IND) – Hibbert held his own against Dwight Howard, which is pretty impressive. 19pts/10reb.
Darren Collison (IND) – Missed again Saturday. T.J. Ford got the start and made a decent showing, 10pt/9reb/5ast. This is probably going to evolve into a timeshare as the season goes on.
Goran Dragic (PHO) – Got the start filling in for Steve Nash and had good one, 17pt/4reb/10ast. Be ready to grab Dragic off the wire if Nash somehow gets traded.
Stephen Jackson (CHA) – As I stated yesterday, Jackson is really picking up his fantasy game. Triple double last night, 24pt/10reb/10ast. Last chance to work a trade for him.
Caron Butler (DAL) – Slowly working himself back into shape after the back problems, 13pt/5reb/5ast in 23 minutes.
Al Horford (ATL) – After giving up 17 rebounds to Joakim Noah, the team of Haywood/Chandler gave up 20 rebounds to Horford.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas (MIA) – Might be time to give Big Z a look if you need another center. 31 minutes Saturday, 6pt/10reb.
O.J. Mayo (MEM) – This is getting ridiculous, 2pts/1ast. Mayo and Randolph got benched for the 1st quarter Saturday for being late to shootaround. Maybe Mayo is spending too much time around Zbo?
Udonis Haslem (MIA) – Had to be carried off the court with a foot injury.
Dwyane Wade (MIA) – Missed Saturday with a wrist sprain. No word yet on how long he will be out. Jerry Stackhouse got the start for Wade.
Serge Ibaka (OKC) – Got hit with his 5th foul in the 3rd quarter and finished out the game on the bench.
Drew Gooden (MIL) – I guess you have to pick Gooden up if anyone dropped him after the slow start, 16pt/16reb.
Brandon Jennings (MIL) – 25 points Saturday, but it took him 24 shots. Jennings is going to have to work on his shot if he wants to step up to the next fantasy level, he’s sitting at 37.4% for his short career.
Mo Williams (CLE) – Mo had his first decent game, 21pt/6ast/3stl. Probably time to get him back active.
Tiago Splitter (SAS) – Signs of life from Splitter, 18pt/5ast.
C.J. Miles (UTA) – Better grab him soon, 25pts/5reb.
LaMarcus Aldridge (POR) – I’m really starting to like Aldridge more as the season goes on. Now that Oden is done and Roy is limited, the Blazers will look to Aldridge to carry the load.
Amare Stoudemire (NYK) – 39pt/11reb against the Clippers who are missing their big man, Chris Kaman, who will be out for at least another week.
Blake Griffin (LAC) – Line of the night, 44pt/15reb/7ast. How good is he going to be?
Danilo Gallinari (NYK) – 31 points Saturday as he continues to heat up. Worth a trade target if you need threes.
Eric Bledsoe (LAC) – Randy Foye is getting healthy and is starting to eat into Bledsoe’s minutes.
Jordan Crawford (ATL) – Give Crawford a look if you are in a keeper league. Jeff Teague previously looked like the heir to Mike Bibby’s spot, but Crawford is making his case.
Chris Andersen (DEN) – He could return soon, so grab him off the wire if you need blocks.
