Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/28/10)
Nov 28, 2010 Blog
Daily Cash Games – I didn’t have much time for basketball last night and only had 2 games on Fanduel.com. Both were part of larger 7 game challenges that I was previously committed to. I split 1-1. The win finished up a $50, 7 game challenge against TaxiMike, with me taking the series 4-1. The loss cut my lead in the $200, 7 game challenge with HeadChopper to 3-2. Hopefully I can finish that series off tonight with a win.
Don’t forget that Fanduel.com also offers one day fantasy football cash games, so if you are a fantasy football player, get signed up this morning for free and you can be playing today’s games.
Some Quick Fantasy News before Sunday NFL:
Joe Johnson (ATL) – Johnson has been in a slump and it doesn’t look like things are getting much better, 3 of 15 shooting Saturday.
Landry Fields (NYK) – He doesn’ t seem to be fading at all, 15pt/11reb. He’s a safe bet to stay in the starting lineup for awhile.
J.J. Redick (ORL) – Got another start for the injured Vince Carter, but he wasn’t asked to do much. He only took 3 shots in 25 minutes of action.
John Wall (WAS) – Missed another game with a leg injury. I hope Wall isn’t going to be this fragile for his whole career. It might be something to watch in the next month or two.
Gilbert Arenas (WAS) – Took advantage of Wall’s absence and put up 31pt/5reb/5ast.
Marc Gasol (MEM) – He’s been a real disappointment this fantasy season. His points and rebounds are both down significantly from last year.
Xavier Henry/O.J. Mayo (MEM) – Henry got another start, but Mayo actually got more minutes. This is probably one of those coaching moves that attempts to wake a player up.
Joey Graham (CLE) – Graham is hanging in the starting lineup and is worth a look if you need some help at SF.
Mo Williams (CLE) – Nice line, 25pt/12ast. Maybe he’s getting healthy. See if he can keep it going over the next few outings.
Jrue Holiday (PHI) – Holiday is inching closer to the top 10 PGs in the league. 20pt/13ast/3stl Saturday.
Andre Iguodala (PHI) – 42 minutes of action and no problems with the recent injury. Keep him active.
David Lee (GSW) – Returned after his elbow injury and played 43 minutes. Not a very good line though, 10pt/6reb/4ast. He’ll get it going once he gets back in the flow.
Monta Ellis (GSW) – Played all 48 minutes Saturday. The Warriors just can’t ride him that hard and expect him to hold up for an entire season.
Kevin Love (MIN) – Just another 21pt/22reb line.
Miami Heat Centers – Erick Dampier, Joel Anthony and Zydrunas Ilguaskas played a combined 48 minutes. They scored ZERO points.
Caron Butler (DAL) – 23 point game last night and he looks to be all the way recovered from his recent injury. Keep starting him.
Stephen Jackson (CHA) – Got ejected early in the first quarter. Daily fantasy cash game players everywhere were crying.
Brandon Jennings (MIL) – Nice line, 32pt/7ast.
Derrick Rose (CHI) – He was back in the starting lineup and went 42 minutes. It looks safe to get him back in your lineup. Don’t forget about C.J. Watson if Rose ever gets hurt, the guy can play.
Luther Head (SAC) – Head continues to start and the Kings continue to lose. Coincidence?
