Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/8/10)
Nov 8, 2010 Blog
Daily Cash Games – Good day on Fanduel. com daily fantasy real money games, 3-0 with 297 points in all three games. Not so good on football, where I entered a 29 player freeroll and I’m in 27th place going into MNF. I really need Dwight Howard to do a little Deion ‘Primetime’ Sanders for me.
Lou Williams (PHI) – 19 points Sunday, check your wire to see if he’s still out there.
Jrue Holiday (PHI) – He’s continuing last season’s 39% from three, going for 37.5% so far this season. The 5.8 assists are gold too.
Evan Turner (PHI) – Turner is an excellent rebounding guard. He pulled down 11 more Sunday bringing his season average to 6.0 a game.
Toney Douglas (NYK) – I think he’s Lou Williams’ twin. Same kind of game and same benefit to fantasy owners.
Wilson Chandler (NYK) – He’s really cooled after a fast start. Might be a good idea to sell high on him.
Anthony Randolph (NYK) – 12 minutes Sunday. Be patient with Randolph, he’ll get his chance soon. Ronnie Turiaf and Timofey Mozgov just aren’t going to cut it at center.
Phoenix Suns – They have huge problems with their big men, Al Horford lit them up for 30pts/10reb Sunday.
Rodney Stuckey (DET) – Stuckey is starting again after a one game DNP-CD and looked good, 21pts/9ast. Kuester seems to have made his point and things should go smoothly with Stuckey from here on out.
Kevin Martin (HOU) – The ankle seems to be fine. Martin went 26 minutes, putting up 21 points. I really could have used some of those points on Saturday Kevin, toughen up.
Aaron Brooks (HOU) – I’ve seen reports of him missing 2 weeks and reports of him missing 4-6 weeks.
Ishmael Smith (HOU) – He got the start for Aaron Brooks and I’ve seen a lot of guys picking him up. He’s Kyle Lowery’s backup, so don’t expect anything more than short term value.
Jeff Green (OKC) – Missed Sunday with an ankle injury. Not sure how long he’s going to be out. Serge Ibaka got the start at PF with Nenad Krstic going at C. Check Green’s next gametime status before using him.
Portland Bigs – LaMarcus Aldridge and Marcus Camby just got dominated by Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol. That weak interior is the one thing that will probably limit Portland to being a first round playoff exit this year.
Kobe Bryant (LAL) – Another blowout and more rest for Kobe. This is going to happen all year, especially if the Lakers continue with the undefeated 7-0 start. If they get so far out ahead of everyone, Kobe will take games off and it’s really going to be a killer for fantasy owners. If you are in a roto league and need help in other categories, it might be a good move to take advantage of another owner and dump Kobe in a 2 for 1 for a couple of prime pieces. Don’t give him away, make a good deal.
Josh Howard (WAS) – He’s due back mid-December, check your wire to see if he’s still out there. It’s definitely worth a gamble to see if he can find a role with the Wizards.
