Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (12/10/10)

Daily Cash Games – I went light last night only playing a single 10 team tournament.  I placed second, which paid 3:1 on my entry fee.  Big Friday night schedule so the action should be good tonight at Fanduel.com and FantasySportsLive.com.

I’m going to start playing some live online draft daily cash games at DraftZone.com this upcoming week.   Playing the same salary cap games day after day is getting to be a grind and the live draft games offer a little more fun.  Who doesn’t like a good live draft?  Registration is free, so check them out.

Megan DanielsDaily Distraction Girl.   The guys at HoopedUpOnline.com dig up quite a wide selection of models.  If you like guns, tattoos and girls, then you’ll probably like Megan.

Rajon Rondo (BOS) – Rondo played 47 minutes Thursday night and fantasy owners can’t be too happy about how hard the Celtics are riding Rondon given his foot and leg problems.  The heavy minutes could cause him to miss time in the near future.

Paul Pierce (BOS) – Struggled through the flu and didn’t put up a very good line, 10pt/8reb.

Thaddeus Young (PHI) – Got another solid 28 minutes and put up 16pt/7reb.  Young immediately becomes a hot fantasy commodity if Andre Iguodala ever gets traded.

Jodie Meeks (PHI) – Started again and played 40 minutes, 19 points on 6-9 shooting.  He was 4-4 from three and should be picked up if you need help in that category.

Damion James (NJN) – Got a start last night but didn’t do much in his 23 minutes, 4pt/1reb, but 3 turnovers.  I’d keep an eye on him, but he probably isn’t worth a pickup yet.

Devin Harris (NJN) – I’m so sick of Harris in daily cash games that I’ll probably never play him again.   I lost my ten player tournament by 4 points because Harris decided he could only go 9 minutes.  This isn’t the first time this season that I’ve lost because of Harris’  injuries or attitude.  The guy has always been injury prone and soft, and he probably always will be.  It wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all to see Jordan Farmar grab the starting PG spot in NJ and never give it back.

Derrick Favors (NJN) – Missed Thursday with a thigh injury.

Kris Humphries (NJN) – Humphries got some extra run with Favors out and had a nice game, 16pt/13reb.   He’s got a lock on the starting PF job for the Nets right now.  Humphries is also dating Kim Kardashian.  I’d say he’s having a pretty good month.

Dwight Howard (ORL) – Just dominated Portland last night, 39pt/15reb.   Unfortunately, he got absolutely no help and the Magic lost this one.

Brandon Roy (POR) – He’s becoming painful to watch, 9pt/3ast in 38 minutes.   Definitely work on trading him after his next big game.

Semih Erden (BOS) – Got a start with Shaq out, 8pt/3reb in 18 minutes.
