Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (12/1/10)

Daily Cash Games – Tough night on Tuesday going 0-3 on Fanduel.com   with a season low score of 210.   The picks were solid, but guys like Monta Ellis, Andre Iguodala and Tony Parker just didn’t show up last night.  No matter how solid the picks appear, it’s still out of your hands once the games start.  That’s why it’s called gambling.  All you can do is manage your bankroll to withstand the variance of bad nights, or streaks of bad nights, and ride out the slump.   Results over the long run are what matters.

FantasyBasketballDaily.com News and Notes:

Rajon Rondo (BOS) – Rondo blew up for one of his better scoring games, 23pt/12ast.  The nagging injuries don’t seem to be slowing him down, so keep him active.

Boston – The game turned into a blowout with all starters except Rondo getting less than 30 minutes.  Marquis Daniels and Glen Davis got some extra run and had nice games.  It was the first of a back to back for Boston, so they should have a little extra energy tonight.

Vince Carter (ORL) – Carter made it back into the lineup after missing a few games with a knee problem and was able to log 27 minutes.  Redick was back to his normal 20 minutes a game.

Brandon Roy (POR) – Portland is really in a bad spot with Roy.  He’s playing, but just isn’t the same with the bad knees.  10pt/2reb/0ast.

Wesley Matthews (POR) – Moved into the starting lineup and posted a great line, 26pt/4reb.  Nicolas Batum only saw the court for 13 minutes.

Andre Iguodala (PHI) – Iguodala played 42 minutes and took 4 shots.  You just can’t have the best player on your team only taking 4 shots.   Ridiculous.

Brook Lopez (NJN) – Starting to break out of his early season funk and it might be a good time to put a trade offer out there if you want to buy low.

Kris Humphries/Troy Murphy (NJN) – Both guys got 17 minutes of action Tuesday and this may be moving toward Murphy taking back the starting job.  Humphries did miss some of the game after taking a fall, but they aren’t paying Murphy all that money to ride the pine.

Jordan Farmar (NJN) – Farmar got 29 minutes, while Devin Harris only got 22 after leaving with a knee problem.  There probably isn’t a controversy here yet, but keep an eye on it.

Wilson Chandler (NYK) – Moved into the starting lineup at PF and had a good game, 27pts/11reb.

Amare Stoudemire (NYK) – Good game, 35pt/9reb.

Kobe Bryant (LAL) – Another really inefficient game, 9 of 25 shooting for 29 points.  This time it cost the Lakers a loss.

Xavier Henry (MEM) – Continues to start and performed just as well as Mayo.  I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not.

Danny Granger (IND) – Good shooting game, 12 of 19 for 37 points.

Beno Udrih (SAC) – Udrih came off the bench again, but had a decent game going for 24pt/4reb.  I just don’t understand what the plan is in Sacramento, unless it’s to start tanking early for a lottery pick.

DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) – After getting kicked out of practice, he managed to get some decent run and produced, 20pt/8reb.  I would imagine that he is experiencing frustration with his limited playing time, especially when he looks like the best option at center for the Kings.

Tim Duncan (SAS) – A triple double, 15pt/18reb/11ast.  He’s still got it.

David Lee (GSW) – He’s working himself back into game shape with the elbow healing up, 18pt/7reb/5ast.

Stephen Curry (GSW) – Good shooting night, 13-22 for 32 points.

Rudy Gay (MEM) – 6 blocks Tuesday.
