Daily Cash Games – I finally got back on track last night with a 324 on Fanduel.com and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I managed to pull out a 4-3 series win against HeadChopper in our $200 match.
Miami @ Cleveland tonight. It should be interesting.
FantasyBasketballDaily.com News and Notes:
Xavier Henry/O. J. Mayo (MEM) – Not sure how long Lionel Hollins is going to let this timeshare go on, but I think he has proven his point and it’s time to get Mayo back in the starting lineup.
Joe Johnson (ATL) – Out 4-6 weeks with an elbow injury. Mo Evans got the start, but Jamal Crawford was the real beneficiary picking up 34 minutes, 16pt/8ast. Crawford is worth an add in all leagues.
Kevin Durant (OKC) – Missed Wednesday with a knee strain. No word on how long he’s going to be out.
Russell Westbrook (OKC) – Picked up the slack for an absent Durant and put up 38pt/15reb/8ast. Jeff Green helped out with 37 points.
Jordan Farmar (NJN) – Did a great job filling in for Devin Harris, who is out for a couple of games with a knee strain. This could get interesting if Farmar plays well in his next game. If you want to gamble in a keeper league and have an open spot, Farmar is a nice target.
John Wall (WAS) – Wall finally returned after missing several games with injuries and Flip Saunders had him playing in the fourth quarter down 26 points while Arenas sat on the bench. That just isn’t good coaching. Why risk his health in a meaningless game?
Jerryd Bayless (TOR) – Bayless is another guy I would target in keeper leagues. Jose Calderon just isn’t the answer for a rebuilding Raptors team. Bayless clearly outplayed him last night.
Wesley Matthews (POR) – 23 points in 38 minutes. He somehow didn’t grab a rebound or register an assist. He’s definitely worth an add in all leagues.
Brandon Roy (POR) – In another questionable coaching move, Roy played 37 minutes in the second half of a back to back.
Paul Pierce (BOS) – Had his best game in awhile, 28 points on 9-11 shooting.
Detroit – None of the starting five reached double figures in scoring.
Dwyane Wade/LeBron James (MIA) – This game was a blowout early and both players got some rest before tonight’s big matchup in Cleveland. Daily cash game players are getting burned a lot this season when teams bench their stars for the fourth quarter.
Dominic McGuire (CHA) – Got a start in place of the suspended Stephen Jackson but couldn’t buy a bucket, 1-8 shooting with 8 rebounds.
Vince Carter (ORL) – Returned after missing a couple of games and went 8-17 for 22 points. He looks safe to get back into your lineup.
Dwight Howard (ORL) – Had a quiet night, 13pt/12reb, and the Magic still beat the Bulls by 29 points.
Carlos Boozer (CHI) – Saw his first action of the season and looked rusty. Give him a few games to get it going before starting him.
Dirk Nowitzki (DAL) – Had a bad night, 10pt/1reb.
Kobe Bryant (LAL) – 27 points on 24 shots.
Lamar Odom (LAL) – Carried the Lakers last night with 25pt/12reb while Pau Gasol was slowed with a sore hamstring and had an off night going for only 8pt/9reb.
Larry Sanders (MIL) – Got 34 minutes of action, 14pt/10reb with a huge 8 blocks. He might be worth a short term add while Bogut is out, especially if you could use a boost in blocks.
Nene (DEN) – Feasted on a Bucks team missing their big man, 24pt/9reb.
Carmelo Anthony (DEN) – Was able to play 27 minutes Wednesday and should be full speed for his next game. He got ejected in this one and now has 7 technicals.
J. R. Smith (DEN) – Solid game, 20pt/10reb.
Roy Hibbert (IND) – Had a subpar game, 15pt/5reb, but it was his third game in four days on the road, so we’ll give him a free pass here.
Deron Williams (UTA) – 24pt/16 reb. I think he’s the best fantasy PG in the game right now.
Tony Parker (SAS) – Only got 18 minutes Wednesday, but no word of any injury.
Blake Griffin (LAC) – Great game, 31pt/13reb.
Baron Davis (LAC) – Finally returned, but wasn’t that impressive going for 7pt/10ast. Eric Bledsoe’s fantasy run is over.
Greg Monroe (DET) – He’s starting to get a little run and could be worth a look, especially in keeper leagues.
Joakim Noah (CHI) – Zero rebounds. Yes, Dwight Howard is good.
Rashard Lewis (ORL) – Tweaked a knee Wednesday, so check his next gametime status before starting him.
Ed Davis (TOR) – He finally made it on to the court and could find himself playing big minutes at PF. Worth an add in keeper leagues.
