Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (12/22/10)

Daily Cash GamesFanduel.com is having a $2500 Fantasy Basketball Tournament tonight.   The entry fee is $10.  $600 for 1st, $400 for 2nd, $300 for 3rd.  The top 18 spots get paid.   Get signed up at Fanduel.com.

Dirk Nowitzki (DAL) – Bad shooting night for Dirk, 4-13 for 17 points.

Jason Richardson (ORL) – Richardson having some problems getting it going with his new team, 4-13 for 10 points.

Dwight Howard (ORL) – Monster game from Dwight, 26pt/23reb.  He also added 3 steals and 2 blocks.

J.J. Redick (ORL) – Got a start last night with Brandon Bass moving to the bench, 7-14 for 21 points.  He could get more starts as Orlando tries to keep Bass and Howard from getting into foul trouble at the same time.

Nick Collison (OKC) – Got 29 minutes of run, 7pt/10reb/3stl.

Derrick Brown (CHA) – 33 minutes last night and it looks like he is now the choice over Dominic McGuire.  He probably won’t have much value since Gerald Wallace will return soon.

Philadelphia 76’ers – This one was a blowout and none of the starters got more than 30 minutes.

Kurt Thomas (CHI) – Started with Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah both out with injuries, 12pt/8reb.

Derrick Rose (CHI) – Nice line from Rose, 22pt/5reb/12ast.

Kris Humphries (NJN) – Just keeps producing, 12pt/15reb.

Sasha Vujacic (NJN) – He’s trying to become fantasy relevant, 16 points on 6-8 shooting in 25 minutes.  If he can stay in the 25-28 minute range, he becomes a possible add.

O.J. Mayo (MEM) – He had 17 points, but it took him 15 shots.  He’s going to have to get more efficient to get back into the starting lineup.

Rudy Gay (MEM) – He didn’t shoot very well going 4 of 16, but he loaded the stat sheet with 4 steals, 4 blocks and 9 rebounds.

Monta Ellis (GSW) – Another nice game, 36pt/7ast/4stl.  He played 49 minutes in the overtime game.  The Warriors probably need to be a little more careful with his minutes, but it’s really tough to do with Curry still out.

DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) – Bad shooting night, 3-13 for 7 points, but he did pull down 13 rebounds.

Tyreke Evans (SAC) – 4-18 shooting for 15 points.  He did help owners in other categories with 10reb/7ast/3stl.

Carl Landry (SAC) – Good game for Landry, 22pt/10reb on 8-11 shooting.

Beno Udrih (SAC) – A season high 34 points from Udrih.

Chris Douglas-Roberts (MIL) – Another dud, 6pt/1reb.  He’s really wasting his opportunity.

John Salmons (MIL) – He’s picking it up with Brandon Jennings out with a foot injury, 20pt/6ast/2stl.

Keyon Dooling/Earl Boykins (MIL) – Dooling got 24 minutes and Boykins got 26.  Boykins was the better player last night putting up 22 points on 12 shots.  This will probably be a timeshare until Jennings returns.

Ekpe Udoh (GSW) – Give Udoh a look if you need some cheap blocks.

Vince Carter (PHO) – He’s putting off knee surgery for now.    He might still sit out to rest the knee though and if he does, Jared Dudley could be a nice short term add.
