Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (2/1/11)

Posting Schedule – I will be out from Thursday, February 3 through Monday, February 14 for a little vacation time.  No computers or phones, just warm sunshine and beer.

Andrea Bargnani (TOR) – Slipped back into his shooting slump, 3 of 15 for 12 points.

DeMar DeRozan (TOR) – DeRozan has cooled after a very strong run, 3 of 15 for just 10 points.

Roy Hibbert (IND) – The first game since the O’Brien firing went pretty well for Hibbert, 24pts/11reb.  Maybe O’Brien’s system wasn’t working for Hibbert or maybe this is just a coincidence.  I did see a Twitter post yesterday saying the Pacers were going to be playing less ‘small ball’, so maybe that means more Hibbert.  Keep an eye on it.

Paul George (IND) – Still a great add, 16pts/4reb.

Carmelo Anthony (DEN) – Put on a great show for the Nets fans, which will probably have them screaming louder for the Nets to pull the trigger on a trade, 37 points on 12 of 22 shooting.

Devin Harris (NJN) – 18 assists.

Anthony Morrow (NJN) – Shooting the ball well since his return from injury, 6 of 6 for 18 points.  4 of 4 from three.

Manny Harris (CLE) – Got the start with Daniel Gibson out with a thigh injury, 20pts/5reb.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas (MIA) – Ilgauskas exposed more weakness in J.J. Hickson’s defensive game, 12pts/14reb.

Mike Conley (MEM) – One of his better games, 26pts/11ast.  He rarely has huge lines, but he is a consistent performer and safe fantasy play.

Nick Young (WAS) – Another 20 shot attempts Monday, but only 18 points.

Tyson Chandler (DAL) – Solid line from Chandler, 18pts/18reb.  He did tweak an ankle, so check his next gametime status just to be safe.

Gerald Wallace (CHA) – Not sure what’s wrong with Gerald Wallace right now, but something has got his game off, 7pts/6reb.  Maybe he’s dealing with an undisclosed injury.

D.J. Augustin (CHA) – He’s really turned it on since the coaching change in Charlotte.  Nearly put up triple-double Monday, 20pts/8reb/7ast.

Deron Williams (UTA) – Missed another game with his wrist injury and there’s no word on when he’s going to be back.  Earl Watson got the start, 5pts/6ast.

Andrei Kirilenko (UTA) – Left Monday’s game with a sprained ankle.

Brandon Jennings (MIL) – Continues to work his minutes up.  He got 17 minutes Monday and managed to jack up 13 shots in that limited run.

Brandon Bass (ORL) – Suffered a leg injury Monday.  Ryan Anderson should move into the starting lineup if Bass misses time.
