DamnLiesandStatistics with examines how several coaching changes could have a fantasy impact this season.
ClipsNation.com with speculation that Rasual Butler may be making a push for the starting SF spot for the LA Clippers.
Interesting article from Basketball-Statistics.com examining whether surrounding a superstar with 3 point shooters is a wise strategy on the court. He picks out Dwight Howard and the example is clear that if you are drawing double teams inside, then someone is open outside and you might as well get 3 from the open guy instead of just 2. It also has some relevance to those three point shooters playing against Howard-with all that clog in the middle, the outside guy should have the best look. Use the theory when setting your daily rosters.
Rotosynthesis with a quick look at the rookies.
GiveMeTheRock.com with a fantasy look at the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Detroit is being careful with Charlie Villanueva. The injury doesn’t seem to be too serious and Charlie says he’d be playing if these were real season games. Villanueva should make a great mid round pick this season since he should be looking at starters minutes.
Dime Magazine with their Top 10 Fantasy Shooting Guards.
Dime Magazine with their NBA Top 5 Backup Point Guards.
Stephen Jackson resigns his ‘Captain’ status. Jackson is going to be out for himself this fantasy season and he is going to chunk it every time he gets it-that is until he gets his trade wish. It’s pretty obvious he just doesn’t care this season. Draft at your own risk.
MLive.com with at preview of Richard Hamilton.
FanHouse.com previews Luis Scola and previews Jose Calderon.
RotoSynthesis fantasy article: Drafting for the Playoffs in H2H Leagues.
New Jersey Nets – Devin Harris left last night’s preseason game with a strained groin and Yi Jianlian left with a shoulder problem. Chris Douglas-Roberts is making a push to get the starting SF job and Courtney Lee still leads the SG position battle. Brook Lopez is going to be a top tier Center this season.
GoldenStateofMind.com with a preview of Andris Biedrins.
Milwaukee Bucks – Michael Redd played in back to back games getting 14 minutes of action Tuesday night. The knee held up well. Andrew Bogut wasn’t able to go in back to back games and was held out as precaution. Brandon Jennings still isn’t shooting well, but had 12 assists. Hakim Warrick got a start at PF and put up 25 points. I’d love to see Warrick get a shot at starting since he does have some offensive skills.
Ryan Anderson had a nice game for Orlando last night going for 22 points. With Anderson (21 years old) and Marcin Gortat (25 years old), the Magic just keep getting deeper and deeper. Any injury on the team and either of those guys will be an immediate waiver wire pickup.
BeyondBowie.com with an article on Jerryd Bayless. Man, did that guy get buried on the depth chart. I’d almost forgotten about him. He definitely needs a trade out of Portland.
