Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (12/11/10)
Dec 11, 2010 Blog
Daily Cash Games – I did a live online daily draft cash game Friday at DraftZone.com and got a win in my first live one. I think the live drafts definitely add an additional element of entertainment and strategy to the game. In my Friday night salary cap games, I went 2-3 on Fanduel.com and 6-3 on FantasySportsLive.com.
Darren Collison (IND) – Collison has been a huge disappointment this season and he doesn’t appear to be improving much as the season progresses. It might be time to shop him to another owner who might be willing to gamble, especially in a keeper league where owners may start the rebuilding process soon.
Roy Hibbert (IND) – Still having some problems with fouls, 13pt/14reb.
Amare Stoudemire (NYK) – Kept the hot streak going with 36pt/10reb. The only problem with his game was 11 turnovers.
Raymond Felton (NYK) – Tough shooting night, 5-17 for 13 points.
Andray Blatche (WAS) – Blatche was able to return to the court Friday after missing some time with a hip injury and went 40 minutes, 16pt/5reb.
Nick Young (WAS) – Still producing in a backup role. 33 minutes, 17 points.
Carmelo Anthony (DEN) – Missed another game with a knee problem. Gary Forbes got the start and had a good night shooting the ball going 7-8 for 15 points.
Nene (DEN) – Took advantage of a weak Toronto interior posting 26 points on 9-12 shooting.
Stephen Curry (GSW) – He could be out for awhile with his latest sprained ankle. Reggie Williams is a good short term add.
Jose Calderon (TOR) – Missed Friday with a left foot injury. Jerryd Bayless got the start but got into early foul trouble and never really got on track, 3pt/5ast.
Serge Ibaka (OKC) – Nenad Krstic was out with a back injury, so Ibaka got the start and had a nice game, 18pt/9reb/3blk.
Chris Paul (NOR) – Had a good game last night, 18pt/7ast/5stl, but just hasn’t quite been worth the high draft pick this season.
Kobe Bryant (LAL) – Kobe was inefficient again last night, 23 points on 23 shots. The Lakers lost.
Ronnie Brewer (CHI) – Keith Bogans is still starting, but Brewer is the one getting the most minutes at SG for the Bulls. Grab him if you need a solid backup.
Richard Hamilton (DET) – He’s still an offensive force when he wants to play, 26 points on 9-18 shooting. The problem is that he his heart really doesn’t appear to be in every game.
Kevin Love (MIN) – 40 minutes, 27pt/18reb.
Darko Milicic (MIN) – Was able to return from a quad injury and got 37 minutes, 7 blocks.
Andrew Bogut (MIL) – Bogut is simply dominating people as he continues to get healthy, 24pt/22reb.
DeJuan Blair (SAS) – He’s been playing much better lately and might be worth an add, 16pt/12reb/4stl. His competition, Tiago Splitter, only saw the court for 1 minute.
Manu Ginobili (SAS) – The Spurs have abruptly cut Manu’s minutes. He’s played 22, 28 and 25 minutes in his last three and I’d look for that trend to continue.
Brandon Roy (POR) – Portland again ran him a hard 41 minutes, although he did at least produce this time with 26 points. Use this opportunity to put some trade offers out there.
Jason Richardson (PHO) – Bad line, 2-9 shooting for 8 points.
Brandon Bass (ORL) – Earned a start last night and didn’t disappoint, 18 points on 8-11 shooting. Keep an eye on him.
Andrei Kirilenko (UTA) – He was a gametime decision with a strained right quad, but really didn’t look slowed at all, 17pt/13reb/5ast/2stl/3blk.
Gordon Hayward (UTA) – Hayward got a start Friday in place of Raja Bell but only got 18 minutes. C.J. Miles got 22 minutes and put up 26 points. If Bell misses much time, Miles would see a big bump in value.
Dwyane Wade (MIA) – Great line against Golden State, 34pt/9reb/7ast.
Chris Kaman (LAC) – Expected miss at least 3 more weeks.
Mehmet Okur (UTA) – He’s getting close to returning, so check your wire to see if he’s out there.
Ben Wallace (DET) – Got a game off last night. Greg Monroe got the start and put up 8pt/15reb on 3-9 shooting.
Andrew Bynum (LAL) – Could play Tuesday at Washington. I’d keep him benched this upcoming week until he gets back into game shape.
