Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (12/13/10)
Dec 13, 2010 Blog
Daily Cash Games – I played a few NFL games Sunday at Fanduel.com, but didn’t have much luck. There are only 5 games on the NBA schedule for tonight, so the action will probably be a little light on on most sites.
From the iPod – ‘125 Grams’ from Joell Ortiz. I’m posting Ortiz everyday this week. Check him out.
Brandon Roy (POR) – Another dud, 9pt/6ast on 4-16 shooting.
Marcus Camby (POR) – Contributed in every category against San Antonio, 11pt/13ast/2stl/3blk.
George Hill (SAS) – Still getting close to starters minutes, 22 points on 5-9 shooting.
Carmelo Anthony (DEN) – Returned after missing a couple games with a sore right knee, 31pt/13reb. It looks safe to start him this week.
Nene (DEN) – He’s been on a scoring binge lately, 26 points on 9-13 shooting.
Ty Lawson (DEN) – Efficient game, 6-7 for 18 points.
Amare Stoudemire (NYK) – Reached 3o points again. He also added 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. If only he and Carmelo could play on the same Knick team.
Raymond Felton (NYK) – Huge line, 19pt/17ast.
New Orleans – The team shot 24 of 79 (30.4%) Sunday. Chris Paul was the only person who could hit anything going 8-12 for 25 points.
James Harden (OKC) – 21 points in 19 minutes.
Cleveland – That team is a complete disaster. It’s time for them to start making some trades and moving the rookies into the starting lineup. Keep an eye on this team for fantasy possibilities.
Jodie Meeks (PHI) – He’s still starting, but had a rough game Sunday, 2-9 for only 8 points.
Kobe Bryant (LAL) – Much more efficient game, 32 points on 19 shots, and the Lakers win.
Pau Gasol (LAL) – Gasol had a bad shooting game, 6-19 for 15 points. He did manage 11 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Devin Harris (NJN) – He was a gametime decision, but played 37 minutes putting up 16pt/8reb/10ast.
Quentin Ross (NJN) – Ross got a surprise start, but didn’t do anything in his 20 minutes, 0pt/2reb. Travis Outlaw got 6 minutes of action and he’s really in the doghouse right now. I’m not sure what New Jersey expected when they overpaid in signing Outlaw, but benching him seems a little harsh.
Kris Humphries (NJN) – Still putting up solid lines, 11pt/11ast. Troy Murphy was inactive Sunday, so Humphries got 37 minutes. No word on how things are going with Kim Kardashian.
John Wall (WAS) – Wall missed practice Sunday. He’s about to get the injury prone tag slapped on him.
Robin Lopez (PHO) – Returned to practice and could play Wednesday. Channing Frye and Earl Barron could both take a hit to their fantasy value. Check your wire to make sure nobody dropped Lopez.
Chris Paul (NOR) – The Hornets have lost 8 of their last 11 and the team was recently purchased by the NBA. I wonder how long it’s going to be before Chris Paul has a total meltdown?
Brandon Bass (ORL) – Bass got another start and had a solid game, 13pt/11reb.
Blake Griffin (LAC) – Griffin has clearly taken over the lead for rookie of the year, 27pt/16reb.
Baron Davis (LAC) – Moved back into the starting lineup, but didn’t do much, 4pt/6ast in 33 minutes.
